This is a walk with a professional guide to celebrate Cardiff Bay. The maximum number in the group will be 7. The unique architecture of Cardiff Bay makes for iconic international images. But also to remember that just 100 years ago, Cardiff was the biggest coal port in the world. Millions s of tons of iron and coal were exported providing rail tracks, machinery and power for the the world. Cardiff earned the nickname Tiger Bay, rough and ready, it was one of the most cosmopolitan places of its age. Included in the tour is a stop in one of the oldest pubs in Tiger Bay and a number of photographs from the Tiger Bay archive collection will be used to show how the Bay has developed. The tour guide will be a qualified guide; a member of Wales Official Tourist Guides Association. These are the only guides officially recognised by Visit Wales and Welsh Government to guide in Wales. They have undergone extensive training, passing both practical and academic guiding examinations.
