The Basics

Cliffs of Moher excursions depart regularly from Dublin and Galway, and typically include a guide and round-trip transportation. Some incorporate city tours, boat rides, or stops at sites such as Kilmacduagh Abbey and the Aran Islands. Multi-day Ireland adventures almost all visit the Cliffs of Moher, alongside Cork, Blarney Castle, the Ring of Kerry, and Galway Bay.

Once at the cliffs, explore several winding coastal trails and pathways, capture photos of the dramatic scenery, and visit the on-site Visitor Centre for educational exhibits and gift shops. The O’Brien’s Tower viewing platform provides stellar views over the Aran Islands, Galway, and the Atlantic Coast.

Cliffs of Moher and Burren Day Trip, Including Dunguaire Castle, Aillwee Cave, and Doolin from Galway
The tour was very well organised. John was very nice and his knowledge about the region was extremely insightful. The place for lunch was very good, especially since it was completely carbon neutral, as explained by out waitress Cecile.

Cliffs of Moher Day Trip from Galway
Our tour guide and driver Eamonn went above and beyond to make our day enjoyable. He had great local knowledge and was very easy to listen to. The tour itself was really spectacular. We were lucky enough to have a clear day and could see the Aran Islands from our bus. The landscape of the Burren was incredible to look at with its unique Flora and beautiful soft grey colours. The cliffs themselves are powerful and daunting. A great day out.

Cliffs of Moher Cruise from Doolin
A beautiful way to see the cliffs. The tour guide on the boat was very knowledgeable about the area, cliffs and wildlife in the area. It was extremely enjoyable and I would definitely recommend. It was very safe, masks on everyone (the staff made sure of this) and as you go on and off the boat staff give everyone hand gel.

The commentary on the bus was so educational. I really enjoyed the walk along the cliffs. I just wish we could have more time to go to both view points. It was magnificent.

Very pleasant tour of the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, along the wild atlantic way and ending on Galway city. The weather was absolutely perfect that day, making the landscapes even more stunning to discover. Derrick was an amazing tour guide, knowledgeable, funny and easy-going. He made the tour instructive and constructive by his knowledges of Ireland's history.
