The Basics

The Guard Mounting ceremony begins with the New Guard marching from Wellington Barracks to Buckingham Palace with a marching band, while the mounted Horse Guards Parade leaves from the Hyde Park barracks and crosses The Mall to St. James' Place. The official guard change then takes place in the palace forecourt. Some London walking tours include a timed stop at the palace to see the event, while other tours combine a viewing with a visit to the Tower of London or a whirl on the London Eye.

Amazing Experience
Fabulous tour! Our guide was so knowledgable, informative, and helpful. Worth the money for the early entrance to the Tower and the Crown Jewels and to experience the opening of the Tower. We had a fantastic time and felt very well informed and taken care of!

Changing of the Guard Small-Group Walking Tour
Everything promised and beautiful weather as well. Perfectly timed to capture the changing of the guard and then a lovely walk through St. James Park onto Buckingham Palace where we arrived in time to see the guards march out of the Palace with the band playing. Guide was great and was very knowledgeable. I would thoroughly recommend.

Best of London Including Tower of London, Changing of the Guard, with a Cream Tea or London Eye Upgrade
The tour guide, Ben, was very good. He was knowledgeable and energetic. St. Pauls was beautiful and interesting. The changing of the guard was hard to see or hear after the initial guards marching to the palace. London tower was very cool, I would have liked a little more in depth history there and more free time to explore. The Thames river tour was really comfortable, and it was private. We learned a great deal about London, its buildings and its history as we rode and walked all over town.

Changing of the Guard Small-Group Walking Tour
Great walking tour from start to finish, tour guide was very informative, sorry his name escapes me but he had a spanish name! It was a lovely end to our trip to London and something I have never done before. We had a great view of all of the Changing of the Guard, the horses looked beautiful and the guards looked absolutely pristine in their uniforms. We had a lovely walk through St James's park and saw the pelicans. The squirrels are so friendly too. I would recommend this to people who are unsure of places to watch this experience. I dont think children should be charged for as a lot of the information went over my daughters head and she is 9 years old, but she loved watching the horses.

March with the Guards: Changing of the Guard Tour
Jeremy who was our tour guide was informative, engaging and funny. It’s true the there are places to see the changing of the guard that the average tourist wouldn’t know about.

Private Tower of London Opening Ceremony with Changing of The Guard and Cruise
Amber was a great tour guide, and very entertaining! She was super informative and energetic. We learned so much in a seemingly short amount of time. Getting early access to the Tower and the cruise down the Thames alone made this tour worth the price. I also liked that it was only a half day, leaving ample time to squeeze other attractions and activities that day; definitely a good choice if you're only in London a short amount of time like we were.

The tour was good. we paid ~$135 for package... Individually the Tower of London cost is 29.5 pounds and Thames cruise is 13 pounds...so total about $50....this means the bus and tour guide cost is ~$75...probably would have spent more for Uber and tour guide..... Tour guide was very knowledgeable and got us good spots to view the changing of the guards....
