The Basics

Located on a peninsula in Loch Duich, this stone castle is surrounded by water and rugged hills. Take a tour of the restored interior to see what life was like here and admire historical artifacts, then take a stroll along the shore of the loch. You can also see the castle on many single-day and multi-day tours of the region, which also include other nearby landmarks such as the Isle of Skye and Loch Ness.

A great way to explore the north
Frequent stops make this trip different to what we expected. The day didn’t drag, and loads of photo opportunities. Chris was a local guy, so took us to off the beaten track places where we had spare time. He wanted us to have a good time, and we sure did.

Skye and Eilean Donan Castle Small-Group Day Tour from Inverness
Brilliant day. Minibus was immaculate and very comfy. Seana was a brilliant guide who was very professional and an excellent driver on the very small roads. Her knowledge of the places we visited and the stories/historical facts she told us was really good. I would highly recommend this tour and tour company.

Just great. I wouldn’t have been able to see it all in one day driving around. Our driver Chris was great. Very funny and knowledgable.

The Isle of Skye & Eilean Donan Castle from Inverness
This was a brilliant day. I saw many brilliant things: Eilean Donan Castle, the cliffs, Kilt Rock and other breathtaking scenery. The tour guide, Ray, was excellent. He was very informative, but also did not assume a lot of prior knowledge (which helped me out!). This was a brilliant and very worthwhile day out from Inverness.

Skye and Eilean Donan Castle Small-Group Day Tour from Inverness
What a really enjoyable trip. It was 12 hours and I thought OMG it’s going to be a long day but our driver/guide Gill made it so interesting the time just flew by! She was knowledgeable about the area as well as the history and a brilliant driver too. Made time for us to get some breathtaking pictures. I would recommend this trip and if you managed to bag Gill as your driver, you’re onto a winner!! Thank you Rabbies and thank you Gill.

The Isle of Skye & Eilean Donan Castle from Inverness
Fantastic tour to Skye with Chris from Timberbush Tours. There was only a small group of us on tour and Chris was able to take us to many extra spots that was outside the Itinerary. He got us around safely and efficiently, we saw so much and took many beautiful photos. He was full of great information and we felt truly went above and beyond to give us a great feel for the Highlands. One of the best tours we've been on and we've travelled to over 30 countries. Definitely pick this tour.
