Head to the Banff Gondola any time during its normal hours of operation to begin your ride. Climb inside a comfortable, modern, 4-person gondola cabin for the trip to the top of Sulphur Mountain. As your cabin ascends high above this mountain paradise, admire bird’s eye views of Banff’s alpine scenery and meandering rivers, arriving at the summit of Sulphur Mountain.

While on top, feel free to explore the boardwalk leading to Sanson’s Peak, a national historic site, or just sit back, relax and enjoy the view. After your allotted time at the top, simply grab your assigned gondola back down to the base of the mountain.

Loved this! We got on fairly quick, try to go as early as possible so you're not waiting in line. The workers were friendly. Amazing views and experience. The restaurants on top are extremely over priced with not a great selection of food. This is definitely a must do when visiting Banff. Make sure you check into the free Banff gondola shuttle, or we opted to take the public bus which was cheap, quick and easy! Also, look online for package deals for this, we didn't and I regret it.

Do not book through this website. Rates are different. We were asked to.come out of line and go to kiosk to get our tickets. You still have to go through all the process. Its better to buy directly rather than this third party vendor.

There are so many Wow moments. The actual ride is amazing, the views are breathtaking. Reaching the top is really just the start - the amazing boardwalk is full of spectacular views. It’s quite a walk but it is a sensational one. This a photographers dream. This one of the great locations that makes you think of our planet and the damage we are doing. I sometimes think we don’t appreciate what awonerful home we have.
