Brilliant value

Anthony the guide was fun and informative and kept you organised and entertained and Anthony the driver displayed expert driving down some country lanes that seemed impossibly small for a coach. Kilkenny nice and sheepdog demonstration was good but Glendalough was amazing!

Great tour, bad bus

Beautiful places visited and great tour guide! My only complaint is the bus, which had its seats arranged too tight, which made the ride a bit uncomfortable. There were also no functioning power outlets.

Wonderful Experience - Sheepdog Herding was a Highlight

Wonderful tour, I could have probably gone without the Kilkenny stop but Glendalough was beautiful, and the sheepdog herding demonstration was absolutely incredible- that alone made the trip well worth it! A word to the wise, be sure to bring extra layers and dress warmly as the morning temperatures in the mountains can dip.

Well organized tour, beautiful and interesting

The tour was very well organized and Jess and Anthony did a great job at making sure everything went to plan. We did get 2 hours for roaming freely in Glendalough (awesome ruined church, tower and graveyard and beautiful lakes, mountains and forest) and Kilkenny (castle, cathedral, ...) plus 1 hour of impressive sheep herding demonstrations with lots of info about a shepherd's job and shepherd dogs, also puppies. For some edutainment Jess also told us about Irish history on the motorway stretches, but we also got enough quiet time there. Please heed there advice about warm clothes (Glendalough is rather cold) and packing snacks, as your first chance for a proper lunch would be Kilkenny (got there at 14:30), but that takes away from your sightseeing time there.

Excellent 1-day experience in Dublin

The guide was extremely knowledgeable and such a warm people’s person! The driver was also really efficient and it felt safe. Especially loved Glendalough, and the shepherding experience. Excellent details shared that you couldn’t find elsewhere if you planned on your own. LycaMobile doesn’t work everywhere in Glendalough. So people are advised not to stray too far away from the bus. Also, it would be awesome if there was an option to roll down the windows, at least when it’s not raining. Finally, even though the trip deserves 5-stars, I had to spend 10 EUR extra to get a taxi upto Parnell. Buses don’t work that early on Sunday, and I think people may benefit if an hour is added to the evening instead of morning on Sunday.

Had a great tour! our guide Neil was fantastic. Glendalough was beautiful and the sheepdog demonstration was definitely worth it in my opinion. The drive through Wicklow was breathtaking! Rounded off with a nice historical tour of Kilkenny and some good local food. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Ireland.

Wicklow and Glendalough were great!

We had a great time at this trip but thought Kilkenny was a bit of a disapointement. The wicklow mountains and Glendalough were fantastic! We had enough time to explore at our own paste. The sheep part was fun but a we would have liked it more to see the dogs doing what they were trained for altough it was very nice to know about the history aswell. The tourguide knew what he was talking about and explained everything with passion. Next was Kilkenny but we thought that was not worth the 2h drive.

Beautiful Glendalough

Sean was a very good, friendly and helpful guide!! Glendalough was extremely beautiful and must go there for a sightseeing! For me, I certainly would skip the sheepdog trails and enjoy more time with the nature! There were not too many things to see in Kilkenny if you are a frequent traveller.

I will say We were really looking forward to this tour but found it to be somewhat disappointing. The trip Itself wasn’t that bad and the coach transporting us was comfortable enough. Our tour guide Sean was nice though his music playlist with songs that really aren’t that popular in the states we could of done without hearing. It would of been better to hear traditional Irish music while vacationing. While in the mountains where touring where the monk stronghold and graveyard was it would of been nice to get more information then was given, especially of any notable people buried there. The sheepdog trails they advertise is best skipped as it was nothing more then a man speaking and taking so much time away from demonstrating. It makes me wish we skipped it and spent more time exploring the mountain and the little waterfall there as the views were beautiful. Kilkenny was a nice little town to visit. We found a nice little pub to eat at. All in all you’re probably best off skipping this particular tour.
