Tour the Scottish Highlands and enjoy an optional Loch Ness boat tour during this day trip, led by a knowledgeable guide who provides insightful commentary throughout the journey.

Start the excursion aboard your coach in central Edinburgh and travel north along the ramparts of Stirling Castle. Pass the Trossachs, cross Rannoch Moor and stop at Glen Coe—site of a legendary 17th-century massacre—before continuing on through the Great Glen via Fort William.

Arriving at the Highland village of Fort Augustus, situated on the banks of Loch Ness, you can opt for a leisurely walk or simply relax by the Caledonian Canal with your provided picnic lunch. Enjoy your choice of locally made sandwiches and shortbread washed down with bottled mineral water.

If you’d like, spend your free time aboard boat cruise on the loch (own expense). Go in search of the Loch Ness Monster named Nessie, a mythical creature said to inhabit these waters. The custom-built boat is equipped with underwater imaging technology, providing a fascinating view of the underwater terrain.

Afterward, re-board the coach for the return drive, passing Loch Laggan and motoring over Drumochter Pass, which connects the northern and southern Scottish Highlands. Your guide points out Perthshire and the lush forested landscapes of Big Tree Country. View the cantilever Forth Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before your day trip concludes in Edinburgh in the evening.

My friend and I decided to go on the tour and it was the absolute highlight of our entire trip. Stevie P took absolutely excellent care of everyone and kept us all entertained with history and stories of Scotland as well as playing some great music. There was a small hiccup with the coach although a blessing because we got extra time at Loch Ness. The drive was smooth and scenic with the perfect amount of stops for pictures and food. I highly recommend going on the tour and if you have Stevie you will be in great hands.

This is a great full day tour which is worth its weight in gold. Apart from the stunning scenery and spectacular view, Tom the guide is very interesting and knowledgeable in the history of Scotland and regalled us all with tales of old and the macabre. This added a touch of mystery and intrigue to our long and awesome journey that day. Tom made the tour perfect giving us enough time to take pictures, shop, eat, go on a boat trip, take toilet breaks and also have little nap on this long and interesting journey. I would totally recommend this day out Highland Tour.

The landscape was beautiful and Calam was a very safe driver and very knowledgeable about the history of Scotland. The cruise on Loch Ness was memorable but entirely too short for the price. I think you should make it very clear that patrons will be on the bus for 75% of the tour. In addition, the seats are cramped and hard as a rock and the engine of the vehicle we were on was very noisy.

Fantastic trip with terrible music.

The trip was fantastic. However the "Scottish Music" was all of the "pished-party" type rather than the good-sober stuff (Annie Lennox, Bill Drummond etc)
