Our tour guide, Luis Medina was and outstanding young man with tremendous knowledge and affability. Our group was small which made moving point to point easy. Luis demonstrated a true love for Switzerland and Luzern by his passion. We had a wonderful time with him.

This was an amazing tour, especially thanks to our guide, Tanya. When we booked it, we thought the cruise would be the highlight. It was beautiful to see the lake and an hour was just the right amount of time. Tanya met us afterwards and we spent two hours walking the city with her. It turned out to be just us so we essentially had a private tour and her knowledge of her city was impressive and very informative. The Chapel Bridge, the Lion monument, and the City Wall and Towers were the highlights and her stories about them were comprehensive and well-told. We elected for the wine and cheese tasting afterwards had further opportunity to hear about the city from her. We took her recommendation a place to eat which finished off a great afternoon!

Luis was our tour guide and he was excellent! His knowledge of Luzern’s history and guidance throughout the beautiful city made our trip wonderful and educational. We enjoyed his friendly demeanor and willingness to stop and take many amazing photos of us at the various places we saw. We highly recommend him and the tour!

We had a great time on the walking/boat tour of Lucerne! Luis, who runs the company, worked with us to schedule the tour around our schedule, and kept in contact on the day leading up to the tour. Tanja, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the history and sites in Lucerne, and my wife and I enjoyed walking around the city with her. The second part of the tour was a boat ride on Lake Lucerne to Burgenstock and back, and we were able to see the beautiful city and surrounding countryside from the water. Unfortunately, it was raining for the entire tour, but the rain did not dampen our enjoyment of the tour. We highly recommend this tour!

Tanja was a great tour guide. Born and raised in Lucerne, and she definitely had a passion for her beautiful city. The initial boat portion was a scenic ferry ride across Lake Lucerne to Burgenstock and back. It would have been nice to have some commentary on the boat. But Tanja did a great job of explaining everything during the walking tour.
I learned much about the history of the region, and saw things that I never would have without an experienced tour guide. Bring comfortable hiking shoes, water and expect to do some moderate uphill walking. The views and photo opportunities are definitely worth the effort.
I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is in good physical shape.

Hi Eric. Many thanks for your comment. Tanja, our tour guide, will love to know about it! Lucerne is indeed the most beautiful Swiss city! Since you visited our city during Covid time restrictions didn't allow many people on the boat and therefore no Audioguide was provided. Anyway, now with no restrictions at all Audioguide is being handed in again when boarding the Lake Cruise in 7 different languages. We explain all about the lake and the beautiful alpine landscape along our walking tour, besides the main sites and hidden treasures of the city.

Our family booked this tour on Viator during our first day in Lucerne. Our guide, Luis, met us promptly at the meeting point and greeted us with a smile. Throughout the tour, Luis was very accommodating by allowing us to adjust the pace of our walking tour allowing for plenty of photo opportunities and Luis also offered to take our photos on several occasions. The tour covered several tourist destinations and gave us a good idea of the layout of most of the tourist areas of the city and ended with a boat ride which was quite relaxing after much walking. Luis was a great host, fluent in German, English and Spanish and very attentive. He recommended several restaurants depending on cuisine and gave suggestions on places to visits on our own time. We learned much about the history of Lucerne through Luis.

My daughter and i are traveling and we booked the boat and walking tour in Lucerne. We were instructed to meet at 2:30 Our guide never showed up and I later realized he sent me an email telling me to get on a 2:07 boat and he would meet us at 3:07? What? So unprofessional now i'm on hold with Viator because the next tour we booked again the guide did not show up for our paragliding which was scheduled for 9 - 11 am and at 9:15 the guide texts and says it's not possible to do today and he is still at home - what? Ridiculous will never use Viator again and in Italy Viator was so good and professional. Trying to get my refund and have been on hold for 25 minutes. Help me!

The walking tour of Lucerne with Luis was a blast! He managed to squeeze in so much information and places to visit within a few hours! Luis' passion and commitment to share with us his love and knowledge of Lucerne was truly evident and inspiring. The boat ride was relaxing and gave us beautiful and varied views from the Lake.
Despite this being my second trip to Lucerne, it felt like I was getting to know the City for the first time - and enjoying every minute of it!

The tour was great! Louis was awesome!!! What a great way to learn about the city! I would however caution anyone with limited physical ability as there were hills and stairs. The total walking was about 4 miles.

About the walking, well i could not avoid it :) since i wanted to show you the most beautiful parts of Lucerne and luckily those places are a little bit off the beaten track but worth the Effort:) Sorry if it was too much walking for you:) and i hope you really enjoy it. The length's trail are actually 3 miles but we did more because the Elevator was taking too long and i recommended to walk rather than waste the time standing:). For my Guests who have difficulties walking then we take the easiest version of the tour :) and of course, they will miss the gorgeous alpine views!

Luis was very knowledgeable and great historian, my family LOVED him. The only downfall was he instructed us to get onto the wrong boat, so instead of a sightseeing boat ride we were on the ferry.
