Great day out of the city!
, Oct 2021
First time doing a plantation tour and really enjoyed it! Oak Alley is lovely and has an excellent exhibit on the life of plantation slaves. Swamp tours are always a must for us in NOLA, and this one was amazing! We were so lucky to see the 3 largest gators in their area (pictured is Winky). Captain Ron had lots of interesting tidbits about gators, the swampland, and food! Really nice day outside of the French Quarter, you won't be disappointed!
Questionable transportation
, Aug 2021
Both tours were good. The bus service to/from was terrible. We were dropped off at Laura 20 minutes before they opened. The driver stopped at a mini-mart for us to get a hot dog for lunch and then dropped us at the swamp tour 1hr 40 minutes before the tour AND the place had a restaurant 😬😬😬
Enjoyable tour

Joseph our tour guide of Laura Plantation was very knowledgeable and informative. The swamp boat tour was just OK. Not many alligators to see & not much to talk about in between gator sighting.
Educational & Entertaining

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Drivers & guides @ both stops were informative & prepared to answer questions. Lunch was limited between the 2 places, but we found a suitable place. Left feeling we had learned a lot. Awesome day!
Good tour. Saw plenty of young 2-4 ft alligators in the swamp.

It would have been a 5 star trip if we had 3 hours at the plantation instead of being rushed (speeding) to the swamp tour and then waiting an hour and 15 for the swamp tour. Swamp tour experience provided useful information about marshes, swamps and creatures living there. Oak plantation tour was also enlightening about life on a plantation. Beautiful setting and preservation.
Worth it

Great experience We booked last minute the night before and they did not get our confirmation for some reason so we had to go the next day Make sure the office calls to confirm the morning of your trip They were very accommodating And helped us to get it all figured out Loved the plantation tour I only Wish we would have gotten to go on the fan boat tour instead of the larger pontoon boat Maybe I read it wrong So make sure you read the add The shuttle driver KP was definitely one of the best parts. That man really knows how to make you have a great time!!
Excellent! Glad we experienced both the swamp and plantation tours.

A guide by the name of Steven gave a wonderful, very knowledgeable presentation on cane sugar and the making of brown and white sugars and molasses. I wish we could have spent more time with Steven. Overall, I and my family had a wonderful experience on the Oak Alley Plantation tour and the swamp boat ride.

Seeing the smiles on my family faces the Laura Plantation was very informative The swamp tour was the best
Beauty, History and Mint Juleps

Our bus tour guide was Steven, and he was awesome. So much information abd so many anecdotes! Several people booked additional tours with the company requesting him as a tour guide. Oak Alley was even more beautiful than I had imagined. Tour guide Rhett was great. Additional assistance from workers around the estate went above and beyond And, oh, the mint juleps!

Plantation tour needs to be a little lo nger. Had to rush to make it back to the bus for departure. Swamp boat ride was really fun and informative.
