Highlight of my Trip, a delicious experience !

We had Suzette as our tour guide, she was wonderful. Thanks Suzette for a fun and filling afternoon. I learned so much, I'm coming back. The food that we had was amazing and the stories Suzette shared about each dish, I found interesting. We learned as much about the history of New Orleans as we did the food. I would recommend you do this tour on the first day of your vacation, it's a great way to enjoy lunch, a Great value

We are beyond pleased to hear (yet not surprised) that you had such a fabulous day with Suzette. We are blessed to have her be a part of the Tastebud Family. We appreciate you letting others know you found our tour valuable and look forward to hosting you again in the future. Until we meet (and eat) again we would like to wish you all the best and tasty travels on your journey.

While our tour guide is great, the food tour left my group and me unsatisfied. We came into this food tour starving, and we were still starving after the food tour ended. We got to eat five different meals, and one of those meals was just sweets/dessert. Adding to that, we got sweets/dessert early on instead of at the end; I found it so bizarre we were having dessert as the second meal of the tour! The most disappointing thing about the food tour was the size of the meals were small. For the price we paid, I expected the size of the meals to be not the size of a really small appetizer; it could barely satisfy anyone with a big appetite. While the size of the meals were small, the food itself was delicious. The red beans and rice, roast beef po boy, and the jumbalaya were very good. The muffuletta sandwich was not that great where we had it, and the while the sweets at the candy store were tasty, it should have been saved for last.

Not What We Expected

When I called Tastebud Tours to confirm our reservation, the gentleman said to “arrive hungry”. This tour should be described as a Food History Tour, not a Famous Flavors Tour. A lot of walking, a lot of talking, and not much eating. Not a good tour for a foodie and not a good value for the money. Left the tour and had to get something to eat. Would not recommend for anyone expecting good New Orleans foods.

Very well done tour. Tish was an excellent tour by. The restaurants seem to represent a good cross section of the district.

We're please to hear you enjoyed you edible education through the French Quarter with Tish! Her passion for the City of New Orleans is contagious and we're so lucky to have her be a part of the Tastebud Family! We'd love the opportunity to provide you a Taste of Chicago or San Francisco next! Until we meet again- wishing you all the best off the EATEN path!

Lots of food to taste. All thw food was yummy just got pretty full. Even the food had history of how it came about in New Orleans along time ago.

Great afternoon in the French Quarter

Great walking tour of the French Quarter. Linda, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the history of the quarter and her food knowledge was excellent as well. It was a nice way to see parts of the quarter you might ordinarily not see and learn some history along the way.

Linda, our guide was knowledgeable, feisty and a fun personality. She gave very good suggestions which we tried later. The tastings were red beans and rice, praline, muffeleta and po boys. A good overview,

Our guide was wonderful and we learned a lot about the history of the French Quarter. We were however, taken into back rooms for food tasting which left much to be desired when walking through beautiful patios and dining rooms.

Beautiful day starting in the French Market. Tour group was a nice size of approx. 12 people. Visited Café Du Mond to see the benets being made, but unfortunately didn't get to sample one did that the next day ourselves. Then off to TuJacques for some red beans and rice. Laura's for a tasty sampling and praline treat. The last three stops I didn't get the names of the restaurants but we had a PoBoy, muffuletta, and shrimp and cheesy grits. All stops were very tasty and took us to places that we wouldn't have thought of trying. Our tour guide was informative and it was a nice walk at a good pace so put on your comfortable shoes. Glad to have done this tour and will definitely do this in other cities while on vacation.

This tour is a must. I learned a great deal about the origin of the local foods and their various differences. I also learned a bit more about the city as well.
