Returns to original departure point
During the Middle Ages, the silver mines of Kutna Hora brought fame to the lands of the Czech Crown, making this town the richest and most powerful in the region. Today, the mining town boasts several UNESCO-listed sites and retains its medieval architecture, history, and heritage.

Your tour begins with pickup in central Prague. Hop aboard your coach and begin the journey toward Kutna Hora.

Upon arrival, follow your guide to discover the area’s top sites. Admire the Gothic design of St. Barbara's Cathedral, dedicated to the patron saint of miners, and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stop at the former royal mint that once manufactured Prague groschen and gold ducats. Visit the Sedlec Ossuary, also known as the 'bone church,' a small chapel estimated to display the skeletons of 40,000 to 70,000 people, each arranged artistically to form the chapel’s décor.

Your tour concludes with transportation back to your original departure point in Prague.

Bone church was a big let-down & we weren't even allowed to take photos. Walk around the town wasn't very interesting.

This was a half day trip starting in the afternoon. Our guide Sarah was very informative, energetic, friendly, kind and helpful to all passengers. The tour included visit to the ossuary and St Barbara’s Cathedral. Sarah guided us nicely for both these places. I wish the Italian Court with the coin museum was also part of the trip (especially since Kutna Hora was famous for mining silver and minting coins). Or, atleast we should have been given free time to explore this museum on our own. We were given only 45 minute break at the end to get something to eat or use the restroom but I think that was too short. I agree with an earlier reviewer that the bus was kind a small. We had only half the bus full with about 10 or 11 tourists, so it was okay for us. But if the bus was full with all passengers, it would have been very tight. Other than these points, it was a nice trip! These type of trips take away all the pressure of planning the trip on your own by train! I recommend this day trip out of Prague!!

Kutna Hora is great to see along with other medieval towns along Prague of you are staying for more than 3 days! The small mining town is in fact a small jewel right across Prague and can be a small respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. Our guide Sarah was very very nice and knowledgeable! In a nutshell, the tour was very well organized!

Enjoyed the drive to Kutna Hora and the tours. Our guide (I don't recall her name) was very informative and friendly. Sadly photos are no longer allowed in the bone church and that was disappointing, but certainly not the fault of the tour company.

Interesting trip with some beautiful sights

The tour kicks of near Revolution Square in Prague and heads to the town of Kutna Hora. The Ossuary was a bit weird and frankly not really a 'must-see'. The town was beautiful with a breathtaking cathedral. The guide gave a lot of interesting information about the area and the country. She had a very dry sense of humor which made it even funnier. We were back in Prague around 3pm. Nice trip to do to see other parts of the country.

this was a fun 3/4 day trip. Pick up location was easy to find. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative. The bone church was amazing. St Barbara Church was so very lovely. after those stops we had a very lovely walking tour of Kunta Hora. I would definitely recommend this trip for a short day trip.

Very interesting....but not "pleasant"

I read a lot about the church/museum before I went but it was still a very strange and a bit on the eerie side. I understand the custom and the need for re-using consecrated land but these were real people at one time and I couldn't help but feel it was a bit "disrespectful." But, out guide was really very used to the various "reactions" and was able to put them all in perspective. We also went to a couple of other places in the town and our guide really knew the history and the details and kept it all very interesting. A long but very interesting day.

its a long day trip but i love it. its a less than 2 hours ride by bus. our tour guide is great. our other guest are nice, respectful and always on time too. after the Sedlec ossuary and st barbara cathedrals, we have a walking tour to the city square. For me its nice to go strolling around the neighbourhood, so wear comfortable shoes. don't have much free time but i think its okay and understandable. i enjoyed our free time with having some coffee and cake on the cafe nearby. we came back to the city right for dinner time ^^ it start around 12.30 so have some food and drink before or to be eaten on the bus, and you can going around the city by yourself in the morning before the tour start.
