- The time of pickup from Oxenholme train station is timed to meet the first train heading towards Glasgow from London Euston on Mondays to Saturdays
- The English Lake District weather can change quickly, even in the summer months. Please bring a waterproof coat with a hood in case of rain or windy weather
- As there is a little walking involved on the tour, some uphill and on uneven or wet terrain, please wear suitable, comfortable shoes

Great winter tour!

We took this tour in Dec 2021 and had such a wonderful experience. Despite the cold, the lack of crowds made it a great getaway with breathtaking views. Tim was a superb guide and was very knowledgeable in the history of the area. He also knew where the great spots were in order for us to get the best photos.

Despite tough weather conditions at the start, our guide Tim found very interesting alternates, plied us with great information & anecdotes & was flexible to show us more around Wordsworth in Grasmere. The views of derwentwater, Ullswater, Windermere , bassenthwaite were affected by the weather , though still beautiful. I loved Tim's description of flora& fauna , in short a heartwarming day filled with the natural beauty of this gorgeous place on earth ! Thank you
